What is CrossFit?

CrossFit is essentially cardio, gymnastics and strength training rolled into one eclectic, efficient package. We perform pullups, pushups, handstands and box jumps.  We lift weights, swing kettlebells, climb ropes and throw medicine balls.  We run, row, jump rope and use gymnastics rings. We mix all of these elements together in challenging and creative ways so that you never get bored.

Our coaches are responsible for ensuring that your workout is not easy nor impossible, that your form and range of motion are correct, that your speed and intensity are appropriate, that the exercises and weights are adjusted to your fitness level, and that you have a plan for long-term success.

By committing to our program, you will learn new skills, improve your nutrition habits, get stronger, feel and look better and improve your quality of life.

Updates, Reminders, Etcetera

Vince M got his 1st Muscle Up...hell yeah Vince!

Member Survey

Sixty of you have provided us with invaluable feedback through our online Member Survey...thank you!  Based on what we have received thus far, we would like to begin doing certain things differently, offering more classes & programs and generally just becoming even better than we already are as trainers, as a gym and as a community (who would've even thought it was possible?!)

We will continue to evaluate the feedback you are providing.  If you have yet to fill it out the survey, please do so and let us have it!  In the meantime, be on the lookout for a new and improved CFGC.

The Member Survey can be found here: Member Survey.

Winter Cleaning Nutrition Challenge

Speaking of new and improved, we are gearing up for our next Nutrition Challenge.  We will be kicking it off on Saturday, January 28th with a Nutrition Seminar and Q&A, complete with details of the challenge, before pictures and more.

More details can be found here.  Our goal is 100% participation...let's make it happen!  There will be a sign up sheet available at the Front Desk soon.

Herondale Farms Meat CSA

We received our first delivery of pasture-raised, grass-fed beef, pork and lamb yesterday.  If you are interested but have yet to sign up, there is still time!  Either send the completed form back to Christine or if you have not received her email, speak with Dennis or Mike and we can get you everything you need.

Class Reservations

Thank you to everyone for continuing to reserve a spot in class.  We recognize that our classes continue to grow and certain class times are ALWAYS full.  That said, here are a few reminders regarding class reservations:

  • You can reserve a spot in class 48 hours before the class start time
  • If the class is full, add yourself to the waitlist
  • If you are on the waitlist, come to class.  You will be able to participate unless it is logistically impossible or unsafe to allow you to participate.
  • If you reserve a spot in class and then decide that you are unable to make it, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE remember to cancel your reservation prior to the start of the class.  It frees up space for someone else that would like to reserve a spot but otherwise would not be able to.

And yes, the Member Survey said it loud and clear...WE NEED A BIGGER GYM!  Rest assured, we are working on it.
