Prior to joining our CrossFit classes, everyone must participate in Foundations, a 3 week-long program designed to gradually introduce the movements, training and intensity found in our group classes.

What is CrossFit?

CrossFit is essentially cardio, gymnastics and strength training rolled into one eclectic, efficient package. We perform pullups, pushups, handstands and box jumps.  We lift weights, swing kettlebells, climb ropes and throw medicine balls.  We run, row, jump rope and use gymnastics rings. We mix all of these elements together in challenging and creative ways so that you never get bored.     

Our coaches are responsible for ensuring that your workout is not easy nor impossible, that your form and range of motion are correct, that your speed and intensity are appropriate, that the exercises and weights are adjusted to your fitness level, and that you have a plan for long-term success.

By committing to our program, you will learn new skills, improve your nutrition habits, get stronger, feel and look better and improve your quality of life.

Winter Cleaning Nutrition Challenge

What?
A 6-week commitment to solid nutrition, sleeping and training.

When?
We will kick off the Challenge on Saturday January 28th with a 60-minute Nutrition Seminar and Q&A.  We will also take Before Pictures and outline the details of the Challenge.

The Challenge will officially begin on Monday January 30th and end on Saturday, March 10th.

Who?
All CFGC members looking to improve their health and fitness with a little extra motivation and support from others.

Here's how it will work:
Participants will receive a score sheet that allows them to track their performance in 4 categories:

Nutrition: 1 point for a full day of no cheating
Hydration: 1 point for drinking half your bodyweight in ounces of water/herbal tea
Sleep: 1 point when you get at least 7 hours of sleep
Training: 1 point for attendance in a class at CFGC

At the end of the 6 weeks, we will tally your total points and choose 3 Men and 3 Women finalists based on the highest point totals.

We will be using the honor system!

We will take 'After' pictures on Saturday March 10th

The CFGC Coaches will choose the winning man and woman based on which of the 3 finalists made the most improvement in their Before and After pictures.

Prizes!
The winning Man and Woman will split the prize pool.

The top 3 men and top 3 women will receive a free month of unlimited classes at CFGC.
